Saint Faith’s Community Association is a group of volunteers who live in and around Belper Lane End in Derbyshire. The group originally came together as The Friends of Saint Faith's to resist the closure of Saint Faith's Church and now maintains the building as a religious and social resource for the local community.
The Association is run by a Committee which currently comprises:
- Catherine Raynard – Chair
- Liz Worth – Vice-Chair
- Betty Cowan – Secretary
- Rachael Hatchett – Treasurer
- Ruth Spendlove – Committee Member
- Stuart Swift – Committee Member
- Louise Baker – Committee Member
- Pamela Bain – Committee Member
- Mary Spendlove – Committee Member
- Rod Hawgood – Committee Member
- David Hatchett – Committee Member
The Committee meets every 4 – 6 weeks to agree how Saint Faith’s will develop, raise funds and fulfil its remit as a hub for the local community. A sub-committee, led by Rod Hawgood, is responsible for organising and running Christian services and meetings. The work done by members of the Committee is on a strictly voluntary basis. If you would like to bring an issue to the attention of the Committee, please contact the secretary, Betty Cowan, on 01773 822774 or use the form on the Contact Us page.
In addition to Committee meetings, the Association holds at least three ‘Open’ meetings each year, one of which is the Annual General Meeting held in November. Everyone with an interest in Saint Faith’s and the community in and around Belper Lane End, is welcome to attend and speak at Open meetings. The dates of forthcoming Open meetings will be published on the Home Page.
